The FireStash could save your life (or your afternoon)
While it's true that a lighter could save your life one day (think Rambo-esque scenario involving Colombian commandos, trip wire made from vines, and cauterized bullet wounds), it's more likely that you'll find the FireStash to be a life saver when trying to set off that firecracker you found hiding in your garage.
It's all of those random times (such as lighting birthday candles or sealing the tip of a shoelace to prevent fraying) that you'll be thanking yourself for purchasing the FireStash Keyring Lighter.
Designed to handle your abuse
Most keychains are subject to a lot of abuse. They're tossed, dropped, and often squished/smashed into the small crevice of a couch. Therefore, any item you keep on your keychain must possess a tough skin.
The FireStash's capsule design is inherently strong and can easily handle the rigors of life on a keychain. And should your keys find themselves in a downpour or at the bottom of a pool, the FireStash's Neoprene 'O' ring ensures a dry climate for the fuel capsule, wick, and flint wheel.
Compact, awesome-looking capsule design
Like the CashStash, the FireStash lighter features a pill capsule design. Simply unscrew the cap to reveal the flint wheel, wick, and fuel capsule. The entire FireStash Keychain Lighter is a hair under two inches in length. The small size makes it easy to handle, yet unobtrusive on your keyring.
To extend the wick, use a pair of tweezers.
Easy to refill and adjust the wick
The fuel capsule (which houses the wick, flint wheel, and lighter fuel) can be removed easily from the FireStash simply by pulling. Add additional lighter fuel or replace the flint from the bottom of this inner capsule. When finished, simply slide back into the outer capsule.
Note: You will need a small screwdriver (KeyTool and Keychain Screwdriver Set, we're looking your way) in order to replace the flint in the FireStash capsule.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Does it come with lighter fuel?
Answer: No. Unfortunately, we can't ship flammable liquids in the mail. However, lighter fuel is available at most grocery and hardware stores.
Question: How do I refill it?
Answer: Remove the fuel capsule from the bottom portion of the capsule. Flip it over, lift the felt pad to reveal the packing material and add fuel slowly to the capsule.
Question: How do I extend the wick?
Answer: Eventually the wick will become black from carbon. Using a pair of tweezers (incidentally, a pair should be on your keychain via your KeyTool, wink, wink), simply pull it up until clean wick appears. Trim away the black wick. The wick should be about 0.25" long.
Question: How will owning the FireStash make me more like Batman?
Answer: Think of your keychain as your utility belt. With the addition of the FireStash in conjunction with our other keychain-related items, you'll be set for most any emergency (just like the Caped Crusader). You'll have spare cash, flathead and Phillips head screwdrivers, multiple forms of light, a writing utensil, a 5-in-1 auto safety tool, and even a little entertainment.
