"I was honestly shocked at how well each DVD was produced, the content and the operational set-up. I thought they would be good, but they surpassed my expectations! Each one was absolutely incredible! The Ambient Sleep one is fantastic. Now I go to sleep with it playing on my laptop right beside my bed. This is top-notch workmanship. I love the ability to make playlists or play one already created. The sounds are terrific too. Using these would calm a lot of people in this world that need it!! I've heard of a fireplace DVD before, but it was nothing like this. They are interesting, calming, and although it sounds funny, I bet they even raise the Serontonin levels of people, similar to what an anti-depressant does. They can set the stage for a romantic evening too, or an educational introduction to fish and aquariums for young children. "I recently purchased from you the Aquarium and Fireplace DVDs. So far my husband, 16-month-old son and I have only viewed the Aquarium DVD. I just wanted to let you know how impressed we are with the quality of the DVD. The pictures are so clear, with smooth shifts from scene to scene. Also, we like the selections of sounds and music to choose from. Yesterday I set the random fish scenes on a continuous loop for my son while he played in the living room with his toys. The "bloop bloop" of the aquarium sound made for a soothing backdrop, and the little guy enjoyed looking up at the different fish while saying "fish" many times! My husband's favorite segment is the diving one...he recognized it as possibly being filmed in the Keys/Bahamas? We are from Florida, and my husband said that the featured "sea roach" is only found off the coast of Florida.

I went to my DVD player and changed the screen setup to 16:9 and Ambient Fire now fills the screen. The information you asked for was enough to give me the clues to fix the problem. "Wow that was fast service! Thanks Jamie! I really enjoy my Ambient DVDs (This order is a gift for my mother, who loves fires, art, flowers and cats. Not in that order)… I had ordered the (at that time) “Complete Ambient Collection” for myself last November. My reason for getting them at that time was mainly the fireplace DVD. You see we used to have a gas fireplace surrounded by stone with a wood mantle and a stone hearth. We never used the thing because it heated up the room too much. So I tore the guts out. And I replaced it with a 34” High-def widescreen Sony XBR TV. I put all the metal back on the front of the fireplace and with a custom shelf the TV fits exactly into the opening with a ?” to spare around all the sides. It looks exactly like it used to before I put the TV in. I have a center channel built in under the TV and 5.1 surround with in-wall and ceiling speakers all around (plus all the equipment is remotely mounting in a slide out equipment rack in the side wall). I enjoy putting in your “logs and fire only” track and having people over without saying anything to them. It takes them a while to figure out that it is not real. "OK so I had been looking forward to this DVD for quite a
while, it's been ages since a new instructional video/dvd
had come out and this seemed like it had a lot to offer -
and it does! :-D
There are (as advertised) 150 tricks on the DVD - these are
organised into various sections including skill level,
name, style, etc.
The tricks demonstrated start off with the basics, and work
their way up to tricks such as black hops, laceraction,
double whip and so on. There are 2 different angles to
choose from and there's the slow-mo and loop option as well
which is perfect - especially if your DVD player (like
mine) doesn't have the option to do that normally.
This dvd is also great for the beginner giving detailed
maintenance instructions and even beginner off string.
Although I would have like to have seen a section with Pat
talking about how to do his raider mod - the AA section
gets quite detailed and so i think that would have been an
added bonus!
The best bit about this DVD has to be the AA section - it's
unbelievable i was so impressed with it. Pats advice and
descriptions that he gives are spot on, he shows how to do
advanced cow wraps extremely well - it took me ages to
figure out myself and if i'd had that DVD at the time i
would have learnt it wayyyyy easier. He also gives
excellent hints and tips on various tricks like angles of
the yoyo even to tucking your shirt in when doing behind
the back cattle crossing - it's just wow a must have for
anyone wanting to learn AA, this will make it a bit easier
for you.
The DVD also has a beginner offstring section to get you
started on that style of play.
The DVD also has some funny moments, for example Rob
describing how to do one-hand eiffel tower and says
something along the lines of "after going round the ring
finger and index figner - you then insert your thumb
finger" which brett follows up with saying "hey how about
that thumb finger" - ok so you gotta watch it to find it
funny ;-) The bloopers section is also great - who would
have thought Pat would have trouble doing around the corner
;)
There is one slight downside - although is excusable - in
some of the more advanced single A tricks, I think the
decsriptions were a bit ad-lib or 'done on the spot' as you
see either brett or rob trying to describe what each other
is doing, but understandably with some tricks like white
buddha - its kinda hard! So a couple of the vocal
descriptions are a bit iffy here and there - but that's
made up with by having the excellent features of the camera
angles slowmo options :-D
....And i'm still trying to learn that damn 1 hand bucket!!
LOL
Now I can't compare this to say the cosmic yoyd dvd - as I
don't have it, but it's definately the best instructional
DVD/video I have ever seen - I urge you to get it if you
wanna learn some more stuff or just polish up on what you
know!
