Frequently Asked Questions
Question: You know that only America calls it "soccer", right?
Answer: I believe we already covered this in the FAQ section of our Gigantic Soccer Ball page. Yes, we're aware of the cultural differences in the name of the game. However, it wasn't enough to stop David Beckham from playing for Major League Soccer.
Question: Can I use it outside?
Answer: Technically, it's possible. However, we don't recommend it. The Air Power Soccer Disc (aka APSD — kind of silly to abbreviate it this far into the page, but better late than never, right?) is designed primarily for indoor play. Because it hovers less than a centimeter off the ground, it requires a very level playing surface which can be difficult to find outdoors.
Question: What is "low pile" carpet?
Answer: Without getting into the technical differences of carpet (snooze city), suffice it to say that the APSD will only work on extremely short carpet. Shaggy carpets will not work. Low pile carpet is what you'd find in high traffic areas such as offices and hotel lobbies. If you can press your finger in the carpet and see a depression, the APSD probably won't work.
Question: Will the APSD break easily?
Answer: No. The foam band on the APSD is half an inch thick and extremely sturdy. It won't damage furniture and bounces harmlessly off walls. You would have to intentionally try to harm the APSD. This sucker is tough.
