Question: How do you clean the filter?
Answer: It is recommended to regularly blow through the LifeStraw after drinking to clean the filter and prevent clogging.
Question: How do I know when I've used the LifeStraw for 1,000 liters?
Answer: The LifeStraw can actually perform for more than 1,000 liters, but that is the recommended lifespan from the manufacturer. Once you can no longer draw water through the straw, it is time to dispose of it.
Question: Will it filter salt water into regular water?
Answer: Nope. Salt is far smaller than the bacteria and viruses that LifeStraw is intended to filter. Remember, the purpose of the LifeStraw is to make natural water sources (such as lakes, rivers, creeks, and ponds) safe to drink.
