Question: Why does it have to be two separate pieces?
Answer: Wood isn't flexible. In order to facilitate a proper (and snug!) fit, you must slide the iPhone 5 into one piece and then slide the other piece into position. A spring is cut into the wood so that the two pieces snap together.
Question: It's been sanded smooth, right? I don't want splinters.
Answer: Nobody wants splinters! Yes, of course, the case has been sanded super-smooth.
Question: How much protection does it provide?
Answer: Tons! Remember, it's made out of 1/8" thick wood. We've dropped it onto concrete and the wood merely suffered a small nick. The iPhone, of course, was fine. The Bamboo iPhone 5 Case is a perfectly capable replacement for your ABS plastic or silicone case.
Question: Does it provide access to all of the ports, buttons, and switches?
Answer: Yes! Every button, port, switch, and camera features an appropriately-sized opening which has been cut to size, sanded, and smoothed. It's just like any other case except this one is made from bamboo! So, buy, buy, buy!
