Chalk City currently offers two stencil sets: Obstacle Course and Road Sign. Each set includes three durable stencils.

The Obstacle Course Stencils (12" diameter) feature directions to hop (right foot, left foot, or both), spin left (or right), and to perform ten jumping jacks.

The Road Sign Stencils (approximately 12" across) feature STOP, TURN RIGHT (or left), and STRAIGHT AHEAD signs.

Question: Will the Road Maker work with any type of sidewalk chalk?

Answer: All standard size sidewalk chalk (1" diameter) will work with the Road Maker.

Question: Does it come with any chalk?

Answer: Yes. The Road Maker comes with two pieces and the stencil sets each come with three pieces. The colors are random and cannot be specified.

Answer: Yes. And it's amazing.

Question: If you don't use up all of the chalk in the Road Maker, can it be removed?

Answer: Yes! The Road Maker's arms are designed so that chalk can only be inserted in one direction (so as to prevent the chalk from slipping while drawing). However, you can simply push on the back of the chalk to force it completely out of the arm.

Question: Can the Road Maker draw curves in addition to straight lines?

Answer: Yes! Simply turn as you walk to create curved sections of road. You can even use one end of the Road Maker to add dashed lines in your sidewalk highway.

They're lightweight and come with a bag, so I'd say they're very portable.

Is the chalk safe for children to use?

Sidewalk chalk is perfectly safe for children.

Will the power from the handle of the road maker get on my hands while I am using it?

Not at all.

why isn't there a spin right stencil? i mean there's a spin left. that's kind of a rip off

Just flip the stencil over.

how many chalks come with the road maker and is there 2 of the same each color

The Road Maker comes with two pieces of chalk, but the colors are randomly assorted.

Can a RC car drive on it?

You can use the Calk City Road Maker to draw roads for anything from RC cars to Power Wheels. The only limit is your own imagination!

Does it work on a brick surface?

Of course!

Is the chalk hard or really soft, cause the soft makes my hands puffy.

It feels like most other sidewalk chalks. It's very brittle and powdery if that's what you're asking.

Do you have to separately make the lines in between the two normal lines?

Yes, though it's not at all difficult to do.

Will this work to make runways for small rc airplanes?

can you make one road and then draw another one right on it to make 3 lines but wide enough for power wheels?

We think we understand what you're saying, and we think that would work.

How many colours does it come in?

The chalk colors are random and cannot be specified.

As long as the chalk is big enough to fit in the holder then it doesn't matter what type you use.

are there any green chalk in that set?

The chalk that is provided is random. It's possible that you may receive green chalk, but we cannot guarantee it.

Is there a special line making thing for roads?

There isn't a special arm for the dotted lines. What we did was simply hold the Road Maker sideways and dash little lines on the street that way.

Can you use this with road paint?

Not really. The Chalk City Road Maker was designed to hold only chalk.

can you put one piece of chalk and then can you draw a straight with it instead with 2 lines?

Absolutely. It might require a little more dexterity on your part, but it's totally possible.

How do you make the lines in the middle of the road?

Rotate the Road Maker 90 degrees and drag it down the street you've just made.

How much pressure can you put on this awesome contraption?

Enough to make lines. Let me put it this way: if the chalk starts breaking, maybe you should be a little more gentle.

Can I get extra chalks?

Not from us, unfortunately. Sidewalk chalk is common enough to be found in most toy stores.

What sized chalk works for this?

The big sidewalk chalk that's available at most stores. Don't worry, chalk is included!

Would there be enough chalk to make a race course around a neiborhood?

I guess it depends on how large your neighborhood is. Even if there isn't enough included chalk, you can always buy more at practically any toy store.

Will a little motorized kid car fit on this road?

The roads a little narrower than a traditional Power Wheel, but I think kids would still have a blast piloting their battery-powered hotrod down chalk highways.

Can you make a middle slot?

That'd make for some pretty narrow roads!

Could I use it to create a parking lot for bikes?

Go for it!

Does it make the middle lines as well?

Just turn it sideways and you can easily make lanes.

Are there going to be more stencils in the future?

We do not have plans for more stencils at this time. You can always make more stencils with a piece of cardboard and some scissors.

35" wide. The arms do not extend any further.

Are you going to make one like this, but make it be able to pull the handle up and down to make the dashes in the middle?

Probably not. You can simply turn the device sideways and get the same result.

If you buy one of each set , can you use the chalk that come in the set of stencils with the road maker set??

Of course. What good would it do to send you chalk that doesn't fit?

Could I get arested for graffiti?

I doubt it, otherwise the sidewalk chalk industry wouldn't exist. You might get in a bit of trouble if you were to write profanities or draw dirty pictures, though.

On alot of those things,you press and the chalk breaks,does this happen with this thing?

Chalk is brittle and is easy to break, but the chalk shouldn't break unless you press down on it unnecessarily hard.

You should make a bundle pack!

It's a possibility. In the mean time, there's no reason why you can't order all three items at once.

Can I use this to design a labyrinth on my driveway?

I can't think of a better tool for the job.

Did you know that you can use both the Turn stencil and the Straight Arrow stencils to make a Merging Lanes sign? Just put both so the arrows line up, trace, remove top, trace, swap, and trace. Don't forget the diamond!

Any brand of sidewalk chalk will work just as long as it's the appropriate size.

Whats a big wheel?

It's one of those plastic tricycles that ride real low to the ground. Ours was developed specifically for a full-grown manchild.

Why are there the jumping jacks,spin left and hop stencils?

Just for fun! This way kids who don't have a bike or scooter can play too.

Can you make a version that you can clip on your bike?

You mean something like this?

How do you make the little striped lines in the middle? Do you do them yourself or does the gadget do it for you.

We simply turned the Road Maker sideways and made the little dashes that way.

Can the distance between the chalk lines be adjusted? or is it a one size road?

No, the arms cannot be adjusted. If you want a more narrow road you can always turn the Chalk City slightly so the lines it makes are closer together.

Would there be a Police Chalk-line Temple of Bodies?

No. In fact, police don't really do that anymore since it could contaminate the crime scene.

Can a real car drive on it?

Most cars are much wider than the road this product makes.

With the road maker now discontinued how am I supposed to make roads?

You can still use regular chalk.
