Overview

Dabble is the fast-thinking word game that challenges you to be the quickest to turn twenty letter tiles into five words. The hiccup is that you must create a 2-letter, 3-letter, 4-letter, 5-letter, and 6-letter word.

If you are unable to complete the challenge within 5 minutes, your opponents earn the sum of the points on your unused tiles. Therefore, if you're unsure if "Qi" will count as your 2-letter word, work it in elsewhere, as "Q" is worth 30 points! Be the first to 250 points to claim word supremacy!

How fast can you create five words from 20 letters?

Dabble challenges you to create five words from twenty randomly selected tiles. The catch is that you must create a 2-letter, 3-letter, 4-letter, 5-letter, and 6-letter word in order to win. Oh, and you've only got five minutes to do it.

There's nothing wrong with games that are played solo. However, with word games such as SCRABBLE®, it's more fun to parade your wordsmithing skills in front of friends and family.

Dabble is designed for 2-4 players. Your goal is to earn as many points as possible at the end of each round. Points are assigned to any player who successfully creates all five words before time expires.

The point total is determined by adding up the value of each of your opponents' unused tiles.

The player on the left (obviously Jamie) successfully created five words. Notice that his 5-letter word used a blank tile to spell "lurch". Good work, Jamie!

The player on the right (obviously Jon) was unable to create all 5 words. Therefore, all of his unused letters become Jamie's plunder. The point total in this instance is 72 points. Typical games are played to 250 points.

At the end of the game, the winner adds up the points on any usused tiles from their opponents.
The winners of each round add up the points of their combatants' unused letter tiles.

The Dabble box includes four tile risers, a 5-minute sand timer, and 142 letter tiles. In addition to standard English letters, Dabble also includes six Spanish tiles, two blanks, and two apostrophes.
