Hidden Pencil Notebooks feature a pencil-sized trench in the front cover designed for storing your pencil. Brilliant!
*We can't help but beam with pride when we use the word "literally" appropriately.
You've gotta write down those lyrics somewhere, right?
Putting pencil to paper is oftentimes the best way to release your creativity. Sure, my phone can transcribe my words or mimic my scribbles, but none of that technology compares to the physical act provided by a notebook and pencil.
Don't get us wrong; we love the latest technology! (Heck, we make our living selling stuff over the Internet). But some things, such as a notebook and pencil, seem to never go out of style.
Choose from two "deceive the eye" styles
Hidden Pencil Notebooks are currently available in two styles: yellow pencils and colored pencils. The yellow pencil notebook features 144 pages of graph paper. The colored pencils style features 144 blank pages.
Note: The color of the pencil included with the colored pencils notebook is random. However, all of the colors are bright and similar to those pictured on the cover.
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: What kind of pencil is it?
Answer: Both the yellow and colored pencils are standard #2 (HB) pencils with a gray graphite core. Both styles feature erasers.
Question: As the pencil gets shorter from sharpening, will it still fit?
Answer: Yes. The pencil stays due to the friction of the channel being slightly thinner than the width of the pencil. The length of the pencil doesn't affect that.
Question: What does trompe-l'oeil mean? Is that some sort of Frenchy French Grey Poupon nonsense?
Answer: Oh dear. Well, yes, it is a French phrase (meaning "deceive the eye"), but the artistic technique to which it refers dates back to antiquity. One says that imagery is trompe l'oeil when the piece attempts to fool the observer into believing that the depicted objects exist in three dimensions.
Question: Can I specify the color of the pencil in the colored pencil style?
Answer: No. The color is random. However, it will be a bright color chosen from the colors featured on the cover artwork. Please note that the pencils for all styles feature a standard gray graphite core.
