Overview

Liven up your kids’ next game night with fast-paced and dynamic Ring It!

The rules are simple: take turns flipping over cards that feature a color, number, and symbol. When you spot two of the same number or color, clap your hands and ring the bell!

As you ring in the sweet sound of success, collect all the cards from the table. And as the winner of the round, you choose a new action to replace the clapping. You can cluck like a chicken, hop on one foot, or sing a silly song—do whatever will be the most fun!

At the end of the game, the cards are tallied up, and the player with the most wins!

Ring in the fun!

The simplicity and silliness of Ring It! make it great for all ages. Gameplay is comprised of spotting matches among the cards and having quick reflexes, so there’s no learning curve or advanced rule explanation required.

The included bell and obligatory silly actions make for a boisterous family game night.

Ring my bell.

Matchmaker

At the beginning of each Ring It! game, every player receives ten cards featuring a number, color, and symbol. You then take turns flipping a card over and laying them on the table, until someone sees a match. When you spot two cards with the same number or color anywhere on the table, clap your hands and ring the bell. The first player to ring it collects all the cards on the table.

When a player runs out of cards, the game ends. Everyone then counts up their cards and the player with the most cards wins!

Beware Trick Cards

There are two special cards in the mix to keep you on your toes.

The Ring It! Cards feature the bell symbol in place of a number. If you see two Ring It! cards on the table, clap your hands and ring the bell as you would with matching numbers or colors.

But beware the treacherous Trick Cards, the evil twin of the Ring It! cards. Although identical in color and central symbol, the Trick Cards also feature ominous skull and crossbones. These forgeries can never be used to make a match, and getting fooled will cost you three cards.

Stay vigilant.

Play by your own rules

For an added challenge, try a variation on the basic rules.

Instead of colors/numbers, try matching pairs based on the symbols (which are less prominently displayed on the card). Or if you want to sharpen your mental math, only allow the players to Ring It! when two numbers on the table can be added together to make a third number on the table. Or develop artistic aptitude by looking for two colors that can be mixed together to make a third color. For example, when red and yellow are on the table with orange.

The rules are made to be broken, so have fun putting your own twist on the game!

Get silly

Ring It! is designed to get goofy, so embrace it!

The winner of each round chooses a new action that all players must do before they Ring It! This action can be anything you want, but we recommend making it as silly as possible. Who wouldn’t want to see their parents dance the dab, talk like Popeye, or sing a Disney song?

Choose something fun but remember: you might have to do it too!

Guaranteed goofs.

Simple setup

The Ring It! set has everything you need to play the game: a bell, a colorful rules booklet, and 90 cards (including 9 Ring It! and 9 Trick Cards).

It all fits into a small tin so you can Ring It! on the road to your next vacation.

Question: Is the bell super loud?

Answer: Not really. It’s a standard desk bell, like you might find in a hotel lobby.

Question: How long does the game last?

Answer: Most Ring It! games take about 15 minutes. This can vary, especially if you customize the rules.
