Overview

It seems silly to be stuck without a power source when the biggest energy producer in the solar system is staring us in the face. The Waka Waka Solar Power Charger Light lets you be environmentally conscious and prepared at the same time.

After about 12 hours in the sun, the solar-powered Waka Waka can fully charge your smartphone and still have energy left to power its twin LED flashlights.

The compact, durable device is designed for portability so you’re always ready with an emergency flashlight or a jolt of juice for your USB devices. It’s great for road trips, camping expeditions, general emergencies, and anyone looking to add energy efficiency to their daily life.

In addition to advancing the use of renewable energy, each Waka Waka purchased helps provide lighting and power to energy-poor parts of the world.

Portable alternative energy

Waka Waka is a portable, sustainable, and invaluable accessory for your big trips and extended daily excursions.

The solar panels on this charger convert sunlight into electricity that’s stored in the internal battery. That electricity can be used to charge your USB devices or operate the integrated flashlight. Waka Waka is lightweight enough to easily fit into your backpacking gear and holds a charge long enough to keep ready around your house for emergencies.

Power-up possibilities

Waka Waka lets you harness the sun to fully charge its battery. But when sun conditions aren’t ideal or you need a faster power up, you can also charge your Waka Waka using the AC grid and a micro-USB to USB cord (like the one used for some cell phones).

The four green LEDs on top of Waka Waka indicate how much battery power is remaining so you’re never caught off-guard without power. When you’re charging using the sun, the blinking of the single red LED indicates how efficiently you’re absorbing solar power.

Plug into the sun

In our modern world, a smartphone is as much a survival tool as a convenience. Even if you’re going on a trip to get a break from the social media world, you’ll still want access to maps, communication, and information in case of emergency. Bringing Waka Waka with you on your sojourn is a smart and easy way to make sure your link to the digital world remains open.

Waka Waka can fully charge a smartphone and still have enough juice left over for extra power down the line. And as long as you have access to the sun, you’ll be able to replenish your Waka Waka and your phone as needed. This security lets you relax and enjoy your travels.

Long-lasting light

Whether you’re trying to set up camp in the dead of night or trying not to trip over your kids’ toys during a power outage, a flashlight is a good thing to have accessible. Waka Waka’s large, easy-to-find power button and four brightness levels make it a must-have during your (literal) darkest hours.

Use the flashlight’s lowest level when you just need a little light to play cards by or use the ultra-bright level when you need to hunt for a dropped tent stake.

Depending on the brightness you use, you can get up to 150 hours of light out of a fully charged Waka Waka. That’s more than enough for a hearts marathon or to finish setting up shelter.

Stay lit.

Useful and renewable

Waka Waka has a built-in stand for easy, hands-free use of the flashlight. Extend the stand to prop it up on the table or use the stand’s small hole to prop up your Waka Waka on a bottle. If you need an overhead light, you can easily hang your Waka Waka with a string.

All these features combined with the mini-USB connector, USB connector, and 100% recycled PC-ABS body, make Waka Waka an accessory you don’t want to leave home—or be home—without.

Shine bright

Buying Waka Waka is a way to help mother earth and your fellow man at the same time.

The manufacturer’s Share the Sun program utilizes a portion of the revenue from each sale to provide light to energy-poor countries. The electricity we take for granted in the developed world can change the lives of those in other parts of the globe. It’s a great way to help the planet and those sharing it.
